Country music star Tim McGraw is working with Operation Homefront and Chase to give mortgage-free homes to 36 veterans this summer.
During the three years that McGraw has collaborated with the organization and bank, more than 100 houses have been awarded to people who served in the military. The singer said he was inspired to help, in part, because his sister, uncle and numerous friends are veterans.
"[These are] people who have given us security for a lot of years and we're able to do that back for them in a small way," McGraw told TV's Entertainment Tonight about his house-gifting program.
"Everyone who is part of this program is working toward one goal -- ensuring a bright and successful future for veterans and their families," Ross Brown, director of Military and Veterans Affairs at Chase, said in a statement.
