Tiger Woods says he did not have an affair with Amanda Boyd.
The 39-year-old professional golfer asserted as much following a National Enquirer report this week. Woods issued a statement through his agent, Mark Steinberg, saying, "There is absolutely zero truth to the unfounded rumor. It is wholly false."
"I couldn't deny this more vehemently," Steinberg also told Golfweek. "There is less than zero strand of truth to it. 100 percent false. 100 percent fabricated and zero credence. Absolutely, unequivocally untrue. They are not even acquaintances. It's absolutely ridiculous."
The tabloid article claimed the golfer's ex-girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn, broke up with him after discovering he was cheating with Boyd. The allegation comes two months after the couple's split and three months after Boyd and Jason Dufner announced their divorce.
Woods and Vonn were together three years and blamed their "hectic lives" for their "mutual" breakup. The golfer admitted he hadn't slept for three days after the "brutal" split, while Vonn refrained from addressing their relationship with the media.
