William Shatner answered numerous Twitter questions about Leonard Nimoy Sunday after he missed his old friend's funeral in California due to a charity commitment in Florida.
The pair starred in the original Star Trek TV series and film franchise. Nimoy died Friday at the age of 83.
In the online conversation, Shatner revealed that he and Nimoy began to realize in the 1970s how much people loved their respective characters Capt. James T. Kirk and Spock. He also replied, "Of course!" when quizzed about whether there are any inside jokes only he and Nimoy would understand.
Pressed to divulge if Nimoy was anything like Spock, Shatner explained, "He was serious, practical but unlike Spock very warm and loving."
So, what kind of father was Nimoy?
"The best. He was also an amazing uncle to my daughters," Shatner said.
He was further asked about why Nimoy didn't attend his Comedy Central roast in 2006.
"He felt it was inappropriate he didn't want me to do it," Shatner shared.
