New York - UPI
A 25-year-old homeless man reportedly pulled a knife on a security guard at the ABC building in New York City on Tuesday morning.
He also threatened the life of part-time Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan, the New York Post reported.
"It was a scary situation but thanks to the fast actions of NYPD the situation was quickly under control," an ABC News rep told the Post.
Andre Johnson, who was arrested and charged with attempted assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, allegedly approached the guard with a serrated knife.
A police officer quickly tackled the man, who reportedly said later, "I was there to kill Michael Strahan," law enforcement sources told the New York Daily News.
