Actress Lindsay Lohan reportedly got Esurance to make a donation to the charity she worked with in London days before a judge decides if her community service certificate is valid.
The 28-year-old actress landed in hot water earlier this month after the prosecutor in her probation case was displeased to learn she completed part of her 240 hours requirement by meeting fans after her London play and being shadowed.
According to TMZ, Lohan asked Esurance -- which featured the actress in a Super Bowl ad -- to donate $10,000 to CVS Positive Futures, the organization where she completed her community service requirement, days before a judge determines the if her community service meets the stipulations of her probation on Wednesday. If the star's certificate is rendered is invalid, she could face jail time.
Lohan's attorney said the star has continued to work with the organization even after completing her required time and criticized TMZ for taking the actress' "positive efforts in supporting CSV and turn them into something negative simply to sell a story is offensive."
