Lea DeLaria will have a special officiant at her upcoming wedding
The 57-year-old actress revealed friend and comedian Sandra Bernhard will preside over her nuptials to fiancée Chelsea Fairless in an interview with Page Six published Monday.
"Sandra Bernhard is going to marry us because she's a really good pal," the star told the publication. "It's going to be in New York, but we're still trying to find the spot!"
"We're going to do a night wedding and we're going to go right to the dancing," she added. "We're not doing a sit-down dinner. We'll have Mexican [food] trucks... stuff like that."
DeLaria and Fairless announced their engagement with a Photoshopped image of themselves with Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor on Facebook in February. The couple will marry in summer or fall 2016.
DeLaria came to fame as a standup comedian, and currently portrays Carrie "Big Boo" Black on Netflix series Orange is the New Black. The prison comedy-drama released a third season last week, and will return for season four in 2016.
Bernhard is a well-known and polarizing standup comedian who played Nancy Bartlett on ABC sitcom Roseanne. She recently guest starred as Darlene on Fox comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Joedth on CBS series 2 Broke Girls.
