U.S. pop star Katy Perry will kick off the North American leg of her "Prismatic" world concert tour June 22 in Raleigh, N.C., AEG Live announced. The 46-city tour is in support of Perry's latest album "Prism," which features the hits "Roar" and "Dark Horse." "The 'Prismatic' world tour is coming to light up some of my favorite North American cities this summer, as well as some new cities that you introduced me to through your video requests," Perry said in a statement Wednesday. "This colorful show will bring you all the songs you know as well as ones from my new album, 'Prism.' I'm so excited that I got to hand-select some of my favorite artists to join me on this journey -- I know you'll love Capital Cities, Kacey Musgraves, and Tegan and Sara as much as I do." Capital Cities is the indie duo of Ryan Merchant and Sebu Simonian, who released their debut album, "debut album, In a Tidal Wave of Mystery," last June. Musgraves is a Grammy- and Country Music Awards-nominated country artist known for her songs "Mama's Broken Heart" and "Merry Go 'Round." Tegan and Sara is the Canadian indie rock duo comprised of identical twin sisters Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin, whose latest album, "Heartthrob," was released last year.
