Beverly Hills - UPI
Actor John Stamos has been arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, California's Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed.
People magazine reported police officers stopped Stamos' car Friday at about 7:45 p.m. after receiving numerous complaints about a motorist driving erratically.
Stamos was cited for DUI and released to the care of an unidentified hospital where police brought him after determining he needed attention for a possible medical condition.
Variety said he was alone in the vehicle at the time of the incident. He is expected to answer the charge at a Sept. 11 court date.
Stamos, 51, is a General Hospital alum best known for his work on the classic sitcom Full House. He will appear in the sequel series Fuller House when it premieres on Netflix next year and is also part of the cast of the upcoming Fox sitcom Grandfathered.
