Fresh off welcoming his third child two weeks ago, Jimmy Kimmel returned to his late night talk show on Monday with pictures of his newborn daughter.
"It's good to be back, we've been off work for the last two weeks, we've been on vacation," he began his monologue. "I actually got a lot done -- I painted a mirror in my house, I grew this beard, oh, and I had a baby also! My wife and I had a baby!"
"You know how we did it?" he joked. "We made it out of sex."
Kimmel and comedy writer Molly McNearney welcomed baby Jane Kimmel, who was named after the comedian's grandmother, on Thursday, July 10. While introducing the new member of his family, Kimmel said he "was so brave."
"I cried a little but I didn't scream," Kimmel continued. "You guys would've been very, very proud of me."
The 46-year-old talk show host and McNearney married in 2013 after four years of dating. Jane is McNearney's first child and Kimmel's third as he is already father to Kevin and Katherine Kimmel from his previous marriage to Gina Maddy.
"I have a 22-year-old daughter and a 20-year-old son already, but it's interesting how much you forget," Kimmel said Monday. "Did you know they don't eat pizza at this age?"
