George Clooney's wedding day is around the corner.
Sources close to the actor and his fiancée, British barrister Amal Alamuddin, claim the pair is all set up to tie the knot at the actor's Lake Como home in Laglio, Italy.
"He has the local mayor fully on his side and the locals too and he can ensure that press and paparazzi are kept away," an insider told E! News.
The event will reportedly be a friends and family affair with a special focus on non-celibrity guests.
"This is not going to be a huge Hollywood wedding with Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock flying in to Italy for a week," explains the source. "George and Amal don't want a media circus with paparazzi helicopters flying overhead and motorbikes chasing after them as they all arrive at the airport in Milan from Los Angeles."
The Gravity actor and Alamuddin reportedly want an "intimate" yet "happy" gathering and believe that inviting too many Hollywood stars to the wedding will be intimidating for the family. The two are reportedly considering having a party for their entertainment industry friends later on.
The couple, who was recently spotted during a romantic dinner date in Lake Como, is reportedly doing better than ever. Sources say they even plan to write their own vows for the ceremony.
"There's no way this is a fling, it's true love," said an insider. "George is like a different guy now. He seems so much happier and healthier and focused and he looks at least ten years younger now Amal's in his life."
