Emilia Clarke demonstrated her American accent Monday on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
The 28-year-old English actress cracked up fans and host Jimmy Kimmel with her spot-on Valley Girl impersonation, which she recently used to help disguise her identity while filming in New Orleans.
Clarke revealed she used the voice during a late night trip to Home Depot with Terminator: Genisys co-star Jai Courtney. The actress called the persona "Cali from the Valley" and said she was inspired by the movie Clueless.
"She's, like, this whole situation," the star said. "We had, like, a really good time. I got so close to, like, getting Jai to buy me, like, a $700 air conditioning unit. I, like, got the guy to help me. He was freaking out. It was awesome."
Saturday Night Live actress Vanessa Bayer impressed the same night by imitating Jennifer Aniston as Rachel and other Friends characters. The comedian told Kimmel she doesn't think the group would be fun to hang out with in real life because they are an "exclusive clique."
Terminator: Genisys opens in theaters July 1, and co-stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke and Lee Byung-hun. Emilia Clarke is best known for portraying Daenerys Targaryen, aka Khaleesi, on HBO series Game of Thrones, which will return for a sixth season in 2016.
