Rapper DMX was arrested in New York City Friday night for allegedly failing to pay $400,000 in child support.
The New York Post reported the hip-hop artist was picked up at Radio City Music Hall, shortly before he was to go on stage.
The father of 12 children, whose real name is Earl Simmons, posted an undisclosed amount of bail and was released from jail, the newspaper said.
In addition to owing the back child support, the New York County Sheriff's Office told PIX11.com Simmons is also wanted by various law-enforcement agencies for alleged bail jumping, acting as an aggravated, unlicensed motor vehicle operator and participating in a robbery at a gas station.
Simmons, 44, has previously faced criminal charges ranging from animal cruelty to drug possession to motor-vehicle offenses.
