David Duchovny and Tea Leoni have finalized their divorce.
The 54-year-old actor and 48-year-old actress were married for 17 years, and have two children together, 15-year-old daughter Madelaine West and 12-year-old son Kyd Miller. Duchovny had quietly filed for divorce in June, citing "an irretrievable breakdown of the relationship."
The former couple will share joint legal custody, and Leoni has been granted primary physical custody. Duchovny will pay $8,333 a month in child support, and is responsible for other expenses such as summer camp, private school and college. He will also pay $40,000 a month in spousal support.
Duchovny and Leoni separated in 2008 around the time the actor entered rehab for sex addiction. The pair reconciled, but separated again in 2011.
Duchovny's series Californication came to a close on Showtime in June. He will star as Sam Hodiak on NBC series Aquarius in 2015, and will also appear in Larry Moss film Relative Insanity. Leoni's new series, Madam Secretary, premieres on CBS in September.
