You only have to take one look at “Hindi-mand” [in demand] actor Amy Jackson – you are likely to end up taking a second and a third look – to see why she’s going to set the screens and hearts on fire alongside Prateik in Ekk Deewana Tha (There was a crazy guy), which releases in the UAE on February 16. The 21-year-old started out as a beauty queen having won Miss Teen Liverpool and Miss Teen Great Britain before going on to win Miss Teen World in 2009 and becoming a runner-up in Miss England in 2010… Phew! That’s some CV to bring to Bollywood given its trend of introducing hot white females in key roles. Be it with Britons Rachel Shelly in Lagaan, Alice Patten in Rang De Basanti or Aussie Tania Zaetta in Salaam Namaste and in recent times with Brazilian model Giselli Monteiro in Love Aaj Kal and Mexican Barbara Mori in Kites, the element of surprise has been retained even when you think you have seen them all if you’ve seen one and, no, we are not adding Katrina Kaif to this list.
