Firefighters put out a blaze that ripped through a vinegar factory on Cairo-Alexandria highway on Saturday, the Gharbiya security chief said.

It took seven hours and 25 fire engines to fully contain the fire that left 24 people injured, including 10 firefighters, Abdel Hamid Abdel Azeem added.
