Japanese shares were mixed Monday after modest gains on Wall Street and European markets, but investors took to the sidelines because of a lack of new cues about the global economy. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 6.77 points, or 0.07 per cent, to end at 10,018.24 while the broader Topix index was down 0.71 points, or 0.08 per cent, at 851.82, according to a report of DPA.
