U.S. President Barack Obama on Monday said he expects the Congress to vote on his $447 billion jobs package by the end of October. \"It\'s been several weeks now since I sent up the American Jobs Act, and as I have been saying on the road, I want it back. I am ready to sign it,\" President Obama said in brief remarks ahead of a meeting with his cabinet at the White House. \"My expectation is that now that we are in the month of October, that we will schedule a vote before the end of this month,\" President Obama said, adding he would speak with congressional leaders on the bill and its vote timing. \"I can\'t imagine any American that I\'ve been talking to that\'s not interested in seeing construction workers back on the job rebuilding roads and bridges, schools, airports; putting teachers back in the classroom to make sure that our kids are getting the very best education; making sure our vets get help when they come home and that small businesses have further incentive to hire them,\" President Obama said in his push for the importance of the passage of his multi-billion dollar jobs package.
