Institutions run by the federal government will adopt scientific criteria to assess the performance and efficiency of their employees in different managerial levels to boost productivity. The proposed system was discussed at a meeting of the Ministerial Service Council chaired by Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the council. The meeting was held at the Presidential Palace Monday. The council also discussed expected results in terms of government performance after the implementation of the proposed project. The council also reviewed a study by the Ministry of Economy regarding increased government competitiveness and its spin-off effects on the economic sector in the country. The council instructed the ministry to coordinate with the relevant authorities to carry out the suggestions mooted by the study. It also discussed a study presented by General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) dealing with foreign airline companies that use the country\'s airports and the extent of their commitment to international safety and security standards. The council instructed the authority to coordinate with relevant bodies in the country to carry out the suggestions included in the study. It also approved the proposals made by the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Community Development and the Minister of Economy regarding the restructuring of their organisational structure. The council also discussed the annual report by the State Audit Institution regarding the final account statements of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority, the Shaikh Zayed Housing Programme and the Higher Committee for UAE Civil Seaports and Airports Security for December 31, 2010.
