Ireland\'s economy expanded by 1.6 percent in the second quarter, compared with expansion of 1.9 percent for the bailed-out eurozone member nation in the first quarter of 2011, official data showed on Thursday. Gross domestic product (GDP) growth in the first three months of this year was revised up from an original estimate of 1.3 percent, the Central Statistics Office (CSO) said in a statement.
