Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Commerce, Khodamorad Ahmadi, says export of steel products in the first five months of the year (March 21-August 22) rose by 53 to 187 percent, earning the country more than USD210 million. A report by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) quotes Ahmadi as saying that rods, hot-rolled steel and iron bars with increases, falling in the range of 187, 122 and 121 percent , topped the list of the exports which were more than 291,000 tons in weight.
