Governor General of West Azerbaijan province said that expansion of trade ties with neighboring countries is a priority for Iran in economic arena. In a joint cooperation meeting between the province and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic here on Tuesday, Vahid Jalalzadeh said that because of cultural commonalities, Nakhchivan has an special stance in the province. Referring to the seven-million-dollar trade exchange between Iran and Nakhchivan last year, the governor said that this level can be promoted to 20 million dollars in the next year. He said that in the first five months of current Iranian year, exchange level had increased 30 percent compared to the same period of last year. Jalalzadeh talked about province intention to dispatch an economic delegation to Nakhchivan to consider ways to develop relations and expressed readiness to open a commercial exhibition in the republic. Referring to commonalities, the governor general continued that such commonalities have caused both sides eagerly follow the policy of development of ties.
