Egypt's bourse indices recorded collective gains at the close of Thursday's trading, backed by purchases by local, Arab and foreign investors amid optimism after the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) decided to lift the cap on dollar deposits and withdrawals by individuals and legal persons.
The market capital gained about 8.7 billion pounds to reach 411.5 billion pounds.
The EGX 30 benchmark index went up by 3 percent to 6,563.65 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) increased by 0.2 percent to hit 354.45 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index rose as well by 0.68 percent to close at 735.13 points.
