Egypt's bourse continued on Tuesday its downward trend as all indices were down at the close of trading pushed by sales by institutions and foreign investment funds.
The market capital lost about 3 billion pounds to end today's transactions at 408.9 billion pounds amid trading which exceeded one billion pounds.
The benchmark index EGX 30 retreated by 0.36 percent down to 8,213.53 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) declined 0.58 percent to 334.44 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index followed suit with 0.07 percent taking the index down to 786.62 points.
