South Korean steelmaker POSCO said Monday it is considering the sale of its specialty steel affiliate as part of its effort to reorganize its business.
In a regulatory filing made after speculation that POSCO Specialty Steel (POSCO SS) has been put up for sale, POSCO said it is in the process of signing a memorandum of understanding, but made clear that the details of the transaction have yet to be ironed out.
