Hyundai Wia Corp., South Korea's second-largest car parts manufacturer, said Friday its fourth-quarter net profit dropped 13.3 percent from a year earlier due to unfavorable global market conditions. The company's bottom line came to 113.8 billion won (US$105.7 million) in the October-December period, compared with 131.2 billion won tallied for the previous year, Hyundai Wia said in a regulatory filing. Besides car parts, the company makes machine tools and military hardware.
