Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., one of South Korea's leading power equipment makers, said Tuesday that it has clinched a 1.6 trillion won (US$1.5 billion) deal to build a coal-fired thermal power plant in Vietnam. Under the deal with Hanoi-based VietNam Electricity (EVN), Doosan will build the facility in Binh Thuan, 230 kilometers east of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's economic capital, the company said.
