DHL, the world’s leading logistics company, has signed a strategic partnership deal with Empost the Express delivery division of Emirates Post Group Holding (EPGH), one of the most dynamic postal organisations in the Middle East, to become its Official Logistics Partner. The announcement follows a special signing ceremony which was attended by Frank-Uwe Ungerer, Country Manager for DHL Express in the UAE, and Sultan Al Midfa, CEO for Empost. Under the agreement, the partnership between DHL and Empost will leverage DHL’s extensive global footprint and network to exclusively upgrade and manage all international shipments on behalf of Empost. The second phase of the agreement will witness co-operation across the retail sector where DHL will benefit from Empost’s strength in the UAE market with physical presence in their 125 retail outlets. The partnership also includes DHL training for Empost employees, as well as further strategic developments for both companies in the future.
