A mutual cooperation agreement in various fields between Yemen and Brazil was inked on Thursday.
The agreement is to boost cooperation in the technical support, and establish and fund infrastructure projects in the domains of electricity, energy and roads in Yemen.
It was signed by deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Omar Abdul-Aziz and the Brazilian Minister of External Relations Chancellor Luiz Alberto Figueiredo.
Following the singing of the agreement, Abdul-Aziz affirmed keenness of Yemen to reinforce cooperation with Brazil, noting that this agreement would contribute to activating frameworks of the mutual cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, the Brazilian Minister, Figueiredo, stressed that the Brazilian government is interested in developing fields of mutual cooperation with Yemen.
He voiced readiness of his country to provide all possible areas of support to help Yemen overcome related challenges with infrastructure projects, specially in the sectors of electricity, energy and roads.
Figueiredo announced that the Brazilian government would partake with a high-level delegation, to be led by him, in the 8th meeting of the Friends of Yemen Group, set to take place in New York on December 24.
