The Director of Ibb Agricultural Office Hamoud al-Rassas and the USAID's Commercial Agribusiness for Sustainable Horticulture (CASH) Project Coordinator Mohsen al-Hubaishi agreed Wednesday on funding a number of agricultural projects here.
The projects are in fields of irrigation, rainwater harvesting, building dams and water barriers, in addition to other projects in field of plant production, vegetables, coffee, animal wealth and improving honey production.
The two also agreed on funding projects related to rural woman development and building capacities of workers in field of agricultural and training them on improving agricultural service.
Concerned people, who attended the meeting of the event, discussed domains of supporting farmers, making clear mechanism to implement the projects and asserted on social participation and the sustainability of these projects.
The attendants approved preparing a budget for these projects based on studies to be made by the agriculture office in the governorate to the CASH.
Al-Rassas valued support provided by CASH, confirming that financing such projects will help improving agricultural development and encouraging farmers and helping them to improve the agricultural production quality in general.
