A telephone survey carried out by Rasmussen Reports showed that Americans are divided on Barack Obama\'\'s jobs plan. US President introduced a $447 billion plan to a joint congress session last Thursday evening. The plan included suggestions such as the continuation of certain tax breaks, the passage of several stalled free trade agreements with other countries and new spending for education, infrastructure like roads and bridges and the further extension of unemployment benefits. The survey showed that the majority of likely US voters support the plan. They constituted 38% of the total people surveyed. However almost just as many people oppose the plan, with 36% taking that position. The remaining 26% are undecided whether they are in favor or opposing the plan. Rasmussen Report\'\'s statement said that many of the voters \"still don’t know much about the plan and are just reacting to the fact that it was proposed by the president.\" A total of 66% of Democrats favor the plan while 64% of Republicans oppose it, according to Rasmussen Reports. While 37% of voters not affiliated with any of the two parties say they do not know enough information about the plan to make a decision. The Survey included a 1000 people, of which 62% expected that Congress will pass the plan.
