Minister of minerals Dr Ahmed Mohamed Sadiq

The Ministry of Minerals ha signed a number of agreements and memos of understanding with Federal Germany aiming at development of mining and its equipment in Sudan.
The Minister of Minerals Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Sadiq Al-Karuri underlined that the outcome of these memos would be implemented soon and it would boos the economic relations between the two countries.
The minister revealed, in statements to the press following his return from Germany Saturday at the Khartoum Airport, that the visit to Germany came with the framework of the bilateral relations in order to consolidate them further in all political and economic domains, explaining that the visit witnessed signing of numerous agreements as well as the participation in the round table conference which was attended by both public and private sectors.
He added that his visit to Germany realized various advantages to Sudan including participation in the meetings of Berlin University, which an agreement on updating geological maps and training of Sudanese cadres internally and externally was signed, pointing out that agreement with the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce was also signed for the development of mining sector besides the agreement with the African German Chamber of Commerce on several important issues including mining and development of equipment.
Dr. Al-Karuri, meanwhile, reviewed with the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs a number of political and economic issues, particularly that the Sudan is currently witnessing continuous political and economic mobility.
Germany, for its part, praised the important and leading role Sudan has been playing and the concern it has been giving to the key issues as well as its cooperation with the international community.
