Finance ministers of South Korea, China and Japan

Finance ministers and central bankers of South Korea, China and Japan agreed Friday that they should pursue cooperation and continue policy discussions to better cope with financial and economic risks.
They also agreed on the need for trilateral cooperation to achieve sustainable stability and growth in the Asian region. The agreement came at a meeting of 20 chief financial and monetary policymakers, presided over by South Korea's Finance Minister Choi Kyung-hwan.
"We shared the view that we should strengthen our regional capacities to manage financial and economic risks and respond to possible crisis through continuous policy dialogue and intraregional financial cooperation," they said in a joint statement issued after the meeting.
