Moscow - Itar-Tass
Russian government has allocated more than 350 million rubles or around $9.8 million from the federal budget to regional budgets to accommodate Ukrainian refugees.
The specific resolution was posted on Russian government’s website on Tuesday.
The document distributing inter-budgetary transfers will allow regions to fund the daily life of people who had to flee Ukraine and are staying at temporary accommodation centers in 2014.
The government resolution has divided inter-budgetary transfers worth 366 million rubles or around $10.2 million between 40 regional budgets.
The number of people accommodated at temporary centers and the time of their stay changes daily. The number of regions where temporary centers are deployed may also change. These factors caused instructions to the Ministry of Regional Development to make proposals before September 10 over distribution of inter-budgetary transfers as of September 1, 2014.
Meanwhile, 585 temporary camps were deployed in Russian regions, where more than 42.4 thousand Ukrainian refugees, including around 15 thousand children, are staying, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in its reports on August 4.
