Moscow - Itar-Tass
Russia's government has allocated 27.5 million rubles (almost $522,000) in subsidies to help resettle Ukrainian refugees coming to Russian regions.
The text of a government decree authorizing the aid was published on the official web portal for legal information on Friday.
The government’s subsidies are provided to co-finance regional resettlement programs designed to accommodate Ukrainian citizens fleeing besieged towns across the border. Some 28 Russian regions will receive the financial aid, with the largest amount of money — almost 5.7 million rubles ($100,000) — being offered to the Tula region, around 125 miles south of the Russian capital.
