Tax deals between Starbucks and the Netherlands

The Netherlands rejected charges Friday that its tax regime for Starbucks may give the US-based coffee retailer an illegal competitive advantage, amid outrage over hefty tax discounts offered to multinationals, dpa reported.
'There can be no talk of a selective advantage for Starbucks,' the Dutch Finance Ministry wrote in a letter to parliament, adding that the company's taxes are calculated according to internationally agreed principles.
