Small merchants in South Korea

The government will provide 2 trillion won (US$1.96 billion) worth of fiscal support next year to help traditional markets and small merchants suffering from a fall in demand caused by the protracted slow economy, the finance minister said Friday.
The support plan will be reflected in the 2015 budget that the government is drawing up, Finance Minister Choi Kyung-hwan told merchants during his visit to a traditional market in Cheonan, about 90 kilometers south of Seoul.
