South Korean companies have been fined about 1.6 trillion won (US$1.46 billion) by foreign antitrust watchdogs over the past five years as they are stepping up crackdown on price rigging and other cartel activities, data showed Tuesday.
According to the data by the Fair Trade Commission (FTC), foreign watchdogs have imposed a total of 1.66 trillion won since 2010 on Korean companies on charges of rigging prices and other cartel activities.
