The Japanese government on Monday downgraded its gross domestic product for the fourth quarter of 2013 to annualized 0.7 percent from the previous reading of 1.0 percent. The Cabinet Office said that the quarter's expansion in real gross domestic product corresponded to a 0.2 percent increase from the previous quarter. In a report released on Feb. 17, the government said Japan's economy grew an annualized 1.0 percent the fourth quarter of last year in inflation-adjusted terms.
