Iran and United Arab Emirates on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding on consular cooperation. The MoU signed by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Hasan Ghashghavi and the Emirate counterpart Tariq Ahmad al-Heidan at the end of the 6th meeting on consular cooperation held in Tehran for two days. Ghashghavi said that the MoU signed in 19 articles envisaged to facilitate visa issuance and consular cooperation as well as easing the measures for immigration and residence permits for citizens of the two countries. Al-Heidan who is heading a 23 member delegation from the UAE thanked Iran for cooperation with the United Arab Emirates on issues of mutual interest and described the meeting as useful for the two counties nationals. The meeting is being held annually to boost the two countries ties.
