Masood Ahmed

Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department of the International Monetary Fund Masood Ahmed said on Friday that Egypt's economy has reached up a better place than its status one year ago.
Ahmed made the remarks in a press conference on the sidelines of IMF/World Bank annual meetings which kicked off in Washington on Friday.
The IMF expects that Egypt's GDP annual growth will reach 3.5 percent next year, Ahmed added.
Also, the IMF's senior official reiterated readiness to provide Cairo with technical support needed in the field of the value-added tax system reforms.
Ahmed also expected a visit by a delegation from the IMF to Cairo in November.
