A group opposing a landmark free trade deal being negotiated between the United States and the European Union said Thursday that it had managed to collect more than a million signatures against the agreement, dpa reported.
Proponents of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) say it will significantly boost economic growth and jobs.
But critics worry that it will water down consumer protection provisions and allow corporations to block undesirable regulation. They have also complained about a lack of transparency.
