Sameh Shoukry

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left London on Wednesday, wrapping up a two-day visit.

Shoukry had talks with British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Tobias Ellwood on bilateral relations and cooperation, particularly at the political and economic levels.

Ellwood reiterated support for more security, growth and democracy in Egypt.

The Egyptian top diplomat met also with national security adviser Mark Lyall on regional crises and terrorism-related challenges.

Senior British officials said they were looking forward to a visit by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to London upon an invitation from Prime Minister David Cameron.
