A European mercantile company chartered an oil tanker to transport the first shipment of Libyan crude oil to Asia ever since the formation of Libya’s National Transitional Council after months of unrest in the oil-rich country. The ship’s manifesto shows that the oil tanker is scheduled to sail on October 7, 2011 with around 950,000 barrels of crude oil on board.
