Stock exchange operator Euronext on Thursday said it was suspending trading in its own shares ahead of a decision by a Dutch court relating to capital requirements.
The group said the move was "a precautionary action" ahead of a ruling by the Rotterdam District Court which should be handed down "during the morning" regarding a dispute with the Dutch finance minister over consolidated capital requirements.
After receiving the verdict, Euronext would release a statement "after which trading will resume as soon as possible," said a statement by the group whose shares are listed on exchanges in Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels.
