Dubai Exports takes local construction expertise to BakuBuild 2017

Dubai Exports, the export promotion agency of Dubai Economy, has participated for the 5th time at BakuBuild, the largest exhibition in the Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern Europe for the construction and building materials industry Dubai Exports participated in the exhibition as part of its strategy to assist local manufacturers and exporters in seizing existing opportunities and identifying potential markets, in addition to promoting multi-sector co-operation and bilateral relations between the UAE and Azerbaijan.

Mohammed Al Mheiri, Senior Manager in Dubai Exports, said, "The emerging markets in CIS and the unique connectivity Dubai enjoys with Central Asia has created a synergy that exporters in the UAE can leverage for sustainable business development. Over the years BakuBuild has grown into a strong platform for us in our efforts to highlight the most outstanding opportunities for traders in Dubai."

Azerbaijan is one of the leading economies in Central Asia, revamping its industrial and transport infrastructure to leverage its location and regional connectivity. The country is also one of the sponsors of the East-West and North-South transport corridors, and holds vast potential for collaboration with the UAE across varied sectors.

Over 200 companies from more than 23 countries attended BakuBuild 2017. Companies from the UAE also made use of the business programme held alongside the event to facilitate B2B meetings between the exhibitors and local distributers.
