South African President Jacob Zuma

South African President Jacob Zuma started his four-day visit to China from Thursday and this is his first visit to China during his second term as president.
A South Africa-China Business Forum was held in Beijing today, and President Zuma and about 100 South African companies operating in sectors such as finance, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, mining and capital equipment participated.
More than 150 Chinese enterprises also attended. Experts feel there is a real demand for South Africa’s rich mineral resources from countries such as China.
The forum provided South African companies with an opportunity to showcase what they can offer, as well as giving them a chance to forge business relationships with enterprises in China.
