Private-sector employers in Brazil created fewer jobs in July than the previous month, confirming a declining trend in employment, the government said Thursday.
The Labor Ministry in Brazil said a net 11,796 job openings were registered in July, down from 29, 667 in June. It was the worst performance for the month of July since 1999.
The government said there were 1.75 million positions created and 1.74 job dismissals in July.
