Forty-two ships transited the Suez Canal on Sunday, with a total cargo of 2.500 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 21 vessels carrying 1.1 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 21 ships carrying 1.4 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
