President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said that he could not address the closing session without the presence of the young organizers of the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) next to him on the podium.
Delivering a speech at the EEDC's closing session on Sunday, Sisi welcomed the attendees and extended thanks to them.
"People thought my country had died. But no, Egypt is a country God created for life," he said.
"Egypt was present 7,000 years ago and taught the whole world and presented to it civilization," Sisi said, adding that all this is documented in history books and started to be taught only 150 years ago.
An envoy from Japan, which is a great country, came to stand on Egypt's experiment, he boasted.
