Saqr bin Ghobash, Minister of Labour, has participated in the Second Ministerial Meeting of the GCC Labour Ministers, held in Qatar.

The ministers discussed a number of memorandums on the implementation of the GCC Supreme Council labour resolutions, strengthening of co-operation among the Ministries of Labour and the exchange of expertise in the areas of provision of job opportunities to GCC nationals in the private sector, labour recruitment policies and labour transfers in the labour market in a way that further boosts joint GCC work.

They stressed their keenness for co-ordination of the GCC positions regarding labour at international forums.

The meeting reviewed the co-ordination mechanisms between the ministerial committee and executive office of the GCC Ministerial Council of Labour Ministers.

It was attended by Mubarak Saeed Al Dhaheri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, Humaid bin Dimas Al Suwaidi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Labour Affairs and others.
